Armenian, French FMs discuss security, peace treaty with Baku
YEREVAN. April 15 (Interfax) - Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has discussed establishing his country's relations with Azerbaijan with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot by telephone, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
"During the conversation, the ministers discussed topics on the agenda of Armenia-France bilateral partnership. Minister Mirzoyan presented the security situation in the region and the continuous efforts aimed at establishing peace in the South Caucasus, emphasizing, among others, the importance of signing the agreement on peace and establishment of interstate relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan," the statement said.
