Inflation in Ukraine grows to 1.5% in March 2025, to 14.6% YoY - State Statistics Service
MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - The growth of consumer prices in Ukraine accelerated to 1.5% in March 2025 from 0.8% in February and 1.2% in January, Ukrainian media outlets said, citing the State Statistics Service's statement on Wednesday.
Consumer prices went up 0.5% in March 2024, therefore, inflation accelerated YoY to 14.6% by the end of March 2025 from 13.4% by the end of February, the statement said.
Core inflation also accelerated to 1.4% in March 2025 from 0.7% in February and 1.3% in January, it said. Since it stood at 1.0% in March 2024, core inflation increased YoY to 12.4% by the end of March 2025 from 12.0% by the end of February.
As reported, the National Bank of Ukraine worsened its inflation forecast for 2025 to 8.4% from 6.9%, including for Q1 to 14.3% from 11.4%.
