Minsk says ready for consultations with Moscow on building another NPP in Belarus

MINSK. April 7 (Interfax) - Belarusian Energy Minister Denis Moroz has expressed the readiness for consultations with Russian specialists on technical aspects of building another nuclear power plant in Belarus.

"At this moment, we are getting ready for technical consultations with the Russian Federation on technical parameters of the second Belarusian nuclear power plant," Moroz said on the state-run television channel Belarus 1.

The consultations will address financial terms and timeframe of the project, he said

Moroz said he was sure that the Belarusian economy would benefit from the nuclear power plant.
