Russia, Belarus plan to launch marketplace for exporting jewelry this year

MINSK. April 4 (Interfax) - Russia and Belarus are planning this year to launch a marketplace for jointly exporting jewelry with the support of the Eurasian Development Bank, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev said after talks with Belarusian Finance Minister Yury Seliverstov.

"A marketplace for the sale of Belarusian and Russian jewelry on foreign markets is planned to be launched in test mode this year. The Eurasian Development Bank is participating in the project," the BelTA state news agency quoted Moiseyev as saying.

Moiseyev also said that an agreement on the mutual recognition of standard marks in Russia and Belarus is planned to be signed.

"This means that a mark made in Belarus would be recognized in Russia, and vice versa. Regarding e-systems, they have been created in Belarus and Russia to be complementary, so they could be integrated, and we should integrate this year," he said.
