Belarus, Russia discussing collaboration in diamond industry

MINSK. April 4 (Interfax) - Belarus and Russia are discussing the participation of the two countries in the Kimberley Process and prospects for collaboration between diamond industry enterprises, the press service of Belarus' Finance Ministry said.

Belarusian Finance Minister Yury Seliverstov and Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev held a meeting on Friday in Minsk, during which the respective parties also discussed further developing e-commerce in jewelry made in Belarus and Russia, as well as the mutual recognition of state standard marks.

The Kimberley Process is an international initiative of governments, civil rights organizations, and leaders in the diamond mining industry.
