Mishustin promotes Economic Development Ministry's social development dept director to deputy minister

MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has appointed Svyatoslav Sorokin deputy economic development minister.

The corresponding decree was published on the portal of legal acts.

Svyatoslav Sorokin was born in 1979 in Kuybyshev. In 2001, he graduated from Mari State Technical University with a degree in computers, complexes, systems and networks. From 2004 to 2013, he worked at the National Accreditation Agency in the field of education. From 2013 to 2017, he was head of the department and deputy director of the Department for State Policy in Higher Education at the Education and Science Ministry.

From 2017 to 2021, Sorokin served as deputy director, then director of the Social Development Department at the Economic Development Ministry. Since March 2021, he had held the position of Director of the Department of Social Development and the Nonprofit Sector at the Economic Development Ministry.
