Head of Rostransnadzor Basargin retires, his deputy Gulin appointed acting head
MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - Viktor Basargin, who held the position of head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport (Rostransnadzor), has been relieved of his duties following his retirement, the government press service said.
Viktor Gulin, who has served as the deputy head of the agency since 2019, has been appointed as the acting head of Rostransnadzor. He has worked at the agency for around 17 years in various roles.
Basargin took over as head of Rostransnadzor in 2017, succeeding Evgeny Ditrikh (now CEO of GTLK). Prior to this, from 2012 to 2017, Basargin served as the governor of Perm Territory.
