Kiev expects to receive 7 bln euros in aid from Germany in 2025

MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax) - Germany will provide 7 billion euros in aid for Ukraine in 2025, Ukrainian media cited Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky as saying after a meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Kiev on Tuesday.

"I held a meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Barbock. Germany is a leader in Europe in the scale of assistance provided to Ukraine - from financial aid and weapons [...]. We are grateful to the Bundestag for the decision to provide an additional 3 billion euros to Ukraine. In total, German support this year will amount to 7 billion euros," media outlets quoted Zelensky as saying.

Meanwhile, an Interfax correspondent reported from Chisinau that Baerbock arrived in Moldova on Tuesday evening for a two-day official visit.

According to the Moldovan Foreign Ministry's press service, Baerbock will meet with President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean on Wednesday.

"The parties will discuss further cooperation, the European course and further support for Moldova on its path toward integration into the European Union," the press service said.
