MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - Recently appointed Russian Deputy Energy Minister Pyotr Konyushenko will oversee key construction, nuclear energy and the overall department for developing the electricity industry, the ministry said.

Deputy Energy Minister Yevgeny Grabchak will continue to be in charge of "the departments for operational management of the fuel and energy complex, the department to implement special projects and the department for financial and property relations."

Konyushenko was appointed to the post on March 14. He had previously headed Atomenergosbyt since 2016, and was an advisor to the NP Market Council association and an assistant to the Deputy Energy Minister in the past. Konyushenko was also reportedly the executive director of the Energostream holding for about six months in 2010.

Atomenergosbyt is part of JSC Rosenergoatom Concern. The company served enterprises of the nuclear industry until 2014, but was then assigned the task of implementing the Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation strategy to bring the electricity division into retail sales.

Sales enterprises are currently the guaranteed suppliers of electricity in the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhya, and Kherson regions.
