Ukrainian State Border Guard Service releases border-crossing statistics

MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - Passenger traffic across the Ukrainian border grew 10.1% in total to 491,000 on March 22-28, Ukrainian media said, citing a statement by the State Border Guard Service on a social network.

The number of departures increased from 231,000 to 254,000, while the number of arrivals went up from 215,000 to 237,000.

The number of vehicles that passed through border checkpoints grew from 118,000 to 124,000, whereas the number of humanitarian trucks decreased from 582 to 546.

According to an update from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the number of Ukrainian refugees stood at 6.993 million worldwide as of March 20, 2025, including 6.373 million in Europe, or 26,000 more than on February 19.

There are 3.665 million internally displaced persons in Ukraine, the UN update said.
