REO head Butsayev named deputy resources minister, replaced by Agriculture Ministry official

MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has appointed Agriculture Ministry official Irina Tarasova CEO of the Russian Ecological Operator (REO), replacing Denis Butsayev, who has been appointed deputy natural resources and environment minister, the government reported on its website.

"Irina Tarasova has been appointed the new general director of the public non-profit company for the establishment of a comprehensive system for managing solid municipal waste, Russian Ecological Operator. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed the order on this," the press release said.

Former REO head Butsayev has been appointed deputy natural resources and environment minister, the release said.

Tarasova previously served as director of the administrative department at the Agriculture Ministry, the government press service said.

REO, which was created by presidential decree in January 2019, is wholly owned by the Natural Resources Ministry.
