Russia's fertilizer export quota to increase to 20 mln tonnes in June-Nov
MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - The Subcommission on Customs-Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation and Foreign Trade Protection Measures has approved the Agriculture Ministry's proposal to extend the mineral fertilizers export quota for the period from June 1 to November 30, 2025, the Economic Development Ministry's press service said.
The total quota volume will reach nearly 20 million tonnes, including approximately 12.3 million tonnes for nitrogen fertilizers and around 7.6 million tonnes for complex fertilizers.
The current quota volume (for December 2024-May 2025) stands at around 19.2 million tonnes.
Non-tariff quotas on exports of nitrogen and complex fertilizers from Russia were introduced on December 1, 2021, as one of the measures to curb rising food prices. The restrictions have been extended multiple times and are currently in effect until May 31.
