Acron plans to launch potash mining complex in H2 2026

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Acron has updated the timeline for its Talitsky potash project in Perm Territory, with the start of production now scheduled for H2 2026, the company said.

"The main construction work for the cage shaft headframe complex have been completed, while construction continues on the skip shaft headframe complex and processing plant. The first continuous miner has been lowered into the future mine, and development work has commenced. The project remains on schedule, with the start of production planned for the second half of 2026," Acron Board Chairman Alexander Popov was quoted as saying.

Previously, Acron said it planned to begin production at Talitsky in 2026. The mining and processing complex is expected to reach full design capacity by 2029.

Acron's subsidiary, Verkhnekamsk Potash Company, obtained the license to develop the Talitsky deposit in 2008.

The complex will have an annual production capacity of 2 million tonnes of potassium chloride, with potential expansion to 2.6 million tonnes. Currently, Acron lacks its own potash raw materials for complex fertilizer production. The company's annual requirement stands at 600,000 tonnes.
