Russia, U.S. to discuss nuances of Black Sea initiative's possible resumption at upcoming talks in Jeddah - Kremlin

MOSCOW. March 20 (Interfax) - The Russian and U.S. delegations plan to discuss nuances of a possible resumption of the Black Sea initiative and other aspects of a Ukraine settlement at upcoming negotiations in Jeddah, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Indeed, the presidents also talked about resuming the Black Sea initiative. There're a lot of nuances there, which needs to be discussed. Hence, [negotiations would be necessary] to discuss these nuances, among other things," Peskov told journalists on Thursday.

Russia earlier complied with all terms and conditions for implementing the Black Sea initiative, while the terms and conditions with regard to Russia "were never implemented," he said.

"Therefore, certainly, all such nuances need to be talked over on the shore, so to speak. And also other aspects related to a Ukraine settlement that the parties would see fit to discuss," Peskov said.
