Ulybka Radugi drugstore chain enters Kyrgyzstan's market, expects to open 20 stores

ST. PETERSBURG. March 13 (Interfax) - The Ulybka Radugi [Smile of the Rainbow] chain, which operates in the drugstore format, has opened its first store in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, the company's press service said.

It is specified that it operates as a franchise.

The company's further goal is to develop actively in Kyrgyzstan, expecting to open about 20 new retail outlets during the first year of operation in the country's market.

Ulybka Radugi is a federal chain of cosmetics and household chemicals stores. It is the largest in the North West and the Volga Region and is the second largest in Russia, with the chain uniting more than 1,700 stores overall in the country.

IPJSC Lenta acquired the Ulybka Radugi chain at the end of 2024.
