Azerbaijan's Central Bank again keeps refi rate at 7.25%

BAKU. March 12 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan's Central Bank is to hold the refinancing rate at 7.25%, it decided in a meeting on Wednesday.

The Central Bank said in a press release that the lower threshold of the interest rate corridor is to remain at 6.25% and the upper threshold at 8.25%.

This is the seventh successive decision of the Central Bank to hold the refinancing rate. The rate of 7.25% has been in effect since May 2, 2024, after being lowered from 7.5%.

The Central Bank will hold its next rate-setting meeting on April 23.
