Agroeco Group starts supplying pork offal to Liberia and Congo

VORONEZH. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Agroeco Group, one of Russia's largest pork producers, has begun exporting pork products to Liberia and the Republic of Congo, with the group having shipped the first containers of pork legs to the African countries, the group's press service said.

The volume of shipments sent to the countries has not been specified.

As previously reported, Agroeco Group began exporting pork offal to Africa's Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in August 2024, having shipped over 400 tonnes of products to the country since launching deliveries.

The agroholding also shipped products to India and Serbia for the first time in 2024. Belarus, Georgia, and Armenia are the company's main export destinations. The list of Agroeco Group's importing countries has thus increased to eight with the start of deliveries to Liberia and Congo.

"We are expanding our presence in international markets. Deliveries to Africa and Asia are important areas for the company's product sales, as well as an excellent opportunity to increase the country's export potential and the attractiveness of Russian products on the international market," Commercial Director Dmitry Alekseyev said in the statement.

Alekseyev said that the company would continue to develop exports by increasing the volume of supplies and the geography of sales in line with strategic plans.

Agroeco nearly doubled exports of processed meat products and live animals to around 27,000 tonnes in 11M 2024.

Established in 2009 in Voronezh, Agroeco Group has production sites in the Voronezh and Tula regions. The group includes pig-breeding sites, a selection and genetic center, feed mills, a crop cluster, motor transport enterprises, a dairy farm, a meat processing plant, and a network of branded stores.
