Matviyenko relays Putin's message on bilateral, int'l relations to Erdogan
ISTANBUL. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Russian Federation Council speaker Valentina Matviyenko has passed an oral message from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Federation Council's press service said on Thursday.
"The speaker passed an oral message from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Turkish leader, concerning issues of bilateral relations and pressing international agenda," the service said.
Matviyenko "informed the president of Turkey on the productive contacts held earlier in Ankara with Turkish parliamentarians [and] having reached agreement on the joint work of advancing the implementation of decisions made by the leaders of the two countries," it said.
Matviyenko is in Turkey on official visit on February 26-27.
