Info on results of Russian-U.S. meeting in Istanbul to be provided later - Peskov

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - It would be too early to talk about a meeting of senior Russian and U.S. diplomats in Istanbul, and information about its results will be provided later, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"There are fundamental agreements reached to this effect in Riyadh. Indeed, a meeting is being held in Istanbul today on the expert level, and our diplomats are working in furtherance of the understanding reached in a phone call of the two presidents and the agreements reached by high-level delegations in Riyadh," Peskov told the press on Thursday. He was asked about hopes pinned on the Russian-U.S. meeting in Istanbul besides removing obstacles to the work of embassies.

"For now, I believe we should not jump the gun. Information about results of these talks will be provided one way or another," he said.
