EDB could invest up to $250 mln in Armenia's economy in 2025-2026
YEREVAN. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is ready to invest up to $250 million in Armenia's economy in the next two years, the country's Finance Ministry reported following a meeting between Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan and EDB Deputy Management Board Chairman Yaroslav Mandron.
"The parties discussed the EDB's investments in Armenia that totaled $328 million in 2022-2024, and the accumulated investments totaled $488 million. The EDB focuses on investing in the real sector in Armenia, and plans to invest around $200-$250 million in 2025-2026," according to the press release.
The Eurasian Development Bank is an international development bank with authorized capital of $7 billion. The bank's shareholders are Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
