YEKATERINBURG. Feb 19 (Interfax) - Most of the measures in the draft law that the Russian government has developed in order to combat telephone and internet fraud are planned for implementation this year, Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev said.
"The lion's share of these measures should already be implemented this year. Several measures are planned for next year. Therefore, we are faced with the task of very quickly implementing, among other matters, a large anti-fraud platform, concerning which we are already having fairly detailed discussions, and development is at a good level," Shadayev said at the plenary session of the Cybersecurity in Finance forum.
The Russian government at a meeting on February 13 approved a bill containing around 30 measures to combat telephone and internet fraud, and submitted it to the State Duma on February 15 for consideration, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko's office said.
