Oil refining in Russia did not decline in February; situation with fuel production stable - Deputy PM Novak

MOSCOW. Feb 12 (Interfax) - Oil petroleum production in Russia remains stable despite attacks and subsequent unscheduled repairs at a number of refineries in the country, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters.

"No, the situation is stable. Nothing has declined," Novak said in response to a question about the dynamics of oil refining in February.

As reported, exchange prices for gasoline have jumped 18%-20% in the last two weeks on concerns about the supply situation.

The nearly ongoing rise has been occurring since January 22. Interfax's sources on the fuel market have said that the current dynamics are owing to concerns among market participants regarding possible supply problems owing to unscheduled repairs at oil refineries caused by drone attacks.
