Russian, Venezuelan maritime transport cooperation agreement goes into effect

MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax) - An agreement between Russia and Venezuela on maritime transport cooperation went into effect on December 23, 2024, according to the official legal acts portal.

The document, published on Tuesday, states that the agreement entered into effect 30 days after receipt of the last written notification of the completion of internal procedures for its enactment.

The agreement is indefinite and remains in force for six months after receipt by one of the parties of the notice of intent to denounce it.

The intergovernmental agreement was signed in Caracas on December 14, 2022.
