Russia's Cyberus hires former Ozon managing director to establish cooperation with govt agencies
MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - The Cyberus Foundation for Result-Oriented Cybersecurity Development (JSC Cyberus, which aims to attract investments in cybersecurity companies, form a unified export offering and promote it on the global market) has recruited Sergei Belyakov, former managing director of Ozon , to organize work with government agencies, the foundation said.
"Cybersecurity has long gone beyond being a standalone industry," Belyakov was quoted as saying. "Today, it is a matter of national security and strategic state priorities. And not only in terms of protection against threats but also as a driver for sovereign IT development, the creation of new technologies and solutions which are competitive at the global level," he said.
Solving these challenges requires open dialogue and joint efforts by the state, the industry and businesses, he said.

"My goal is to help create a platform for this cooperation and bring Russian cybersecurity to a fundamentally new level of development," Belyakov said.
