IAEA director general visiting Ukraine
PARIS. Feb 4 (Interfax) - International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi said on Tuesday that he is currently visiting Ukraine.
"I'm at Kievskaya electrical substation, an important part of Ukraine's power grid essential for nuclear safety," Grossi said on social media.
The IAEA said on January 30 that a rotation of the agency's specialists at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) is scheduled for this week. The IAEA rotated its staff at the Khmelnitsky, Rovno and South Ukraine NPPs as well as in Chernobyl in January, it said.
Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev, for his part, said that Grossi could visit Russia in the first half of February for consultations on safety and security of nuclear facilities.
