Rostelecom's cybersecurity subsidiary converted into JSC

MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - The main legal entity of the cybersecurity group Solar, which is owned by PJSC Rostelecom's group of companies, has been converted into a joint-stock company.

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, as of February 3, Solar Security LLC continues to operate as a joint-stock company.

The decision to transform the legal entity was made in September 2024. At that time, Solar Group said the reorganization was a technical step and an effort to "adhere to best corporate governance practices, including optimizing the shareholder structure."

Solar Security was registered in March 2015. Its charter capital is 2.9 million rubles. Rostelecom acquired the company in 2018.

In April 2021, during a presentation of its strategy, the company announced plans to attract strategic partners or conduct IPOs for several key business areas, including data centers and cloud services, information security, digital healthcare and others.

In November, Rostelecom President Mikhail Oseyevsky mentioned plans to hold an IPO for Solar Group after listing JSC Data Storage Center (under the RTK-DC brand) on the stock exchange. The latter was being prepared for an IPO and initially considered the autumn window of 2024. However, due to market conditions, the company began to question the feasibility of the deal, and the offering ultimately did not take place.
