Ukrainian State Border Guard Service provides border-crossing statistics
MOSCOW. Feb 3 (Interfax) - Passenger traffic across the Ukrainian border went down 4% over the week to 435,000 travelers on January 25-31.
The number of departures decreased from 220,000 to 213,000, while the number of arrivals decreased from 233,000 to 222,000, Ukrainian media said, citing the information posted by the State Border Guard Service on a social network.
The number of vehicles crossing the border went down from 119,000 to 115,000 over the week, while the number of humanitarian trucks decreased from 586 to 493.
According to an update from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, there were 6.863 Ukrainian refugees worldwide, including 6.303 million in Europe, on January 16, 2025, which is 49,000 more than on December 16.
The UN estimates the number of internally displaced Ukrainians at 3.6 million.
