Kazpost, Turkey's S Sistem to build warehouse at Aktobe airport

ASTANA. Jan 24 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's national postal company Kazpost and Turkey's S Sistem plan to build a multimodal warehouse at the Aktobe airport, the Kazakh president's press service said following a meeting between Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Kazpost CEO Asel Zhanasova.

"In partnership with the S Sistem, we plan to build a 15,000 square meter multimodal warehouse at the Aktobe airport," the press release says.

Tokayev gave instructions to ensure the company's financial recovery, to support development of its transit and logistics potential using e-commerce with the CIS countries and to realize digital solutions.

Kazpost, part of National Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna, is Kazakhstan's national provider of postal services.

S Sistem Lojistik Hizmetler provides logistics services, including the management of logistic operations of airports and airlines, aviation security and air cargo sales. The company owns warehouses in a number of airports in Turkey, including Izmir, Ankara, Antalya and Istanbul.
