SPIMEX establishing National Exchange Pricing Agency, preparing rebranding

MOSCOW. Jan 22 (Interfax) - The St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) is establishing the National Exchange Pricing Agency and is preparing its rebranding, SPIMEX president Igor Artemyev told journalists.

"We will announce establishing the National Exchange Pricing Agency very soon. We have registered around 700 indicators and a large number of various instruments. We are relying on actual transactions, namely on the most reliable market instrument. We would also like to set and publish prices for various goods. We have all the necessary material and technical resources for this, as well as a significant number of the best specialists. We consider it important that domestic price indices are presented for Russian goods, from the national agency," Artemyev said.

SPIMEX is also preparing a rebranding, with Petersburg Exchange as the proposed new name, he said.
