Azerbaijan, Armenia determine new site for border delimitation process

BAKU. Jan 16 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan and Armenia have determined a new site for continued border delimitation work.

On January 16, the two countries' state border delimitation commission held its eleventh meeting at the joint border, during which the sides continued to exchange views on the sequence of sites/sections of the border line to conduct further delimitation works, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shakhin Mustafayev's press service said in a statement on Thursday.

"The parties reached agreement to begin the series of state border delimitation works at the point of convergence of the Azerbaijani, Armenian and Georgian borders and further southward, from north to south, as far as Azerbaijan's and Armenia's border with Iran," the statement said.

The two sides also discussed drafts of relevant instructions on how to proceed with the delimitation work.

They agreed to set the date and venue of the next meeting later on, the press service said.
