Russia begins supplying wheat to Togo - Rosselkhoznadzor

MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - Russia has expanded exports of wheat to African countries to include Togo as of January, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) said.

Specialists at the St. Petersburg branch of the federal center to assess the safety and quality of agricultural products tested the first shipment of wheat totaling 27,000 tonnes, confirming compliance with the requirements of the importing country, as well as issuing a safety and quality certificate and a conclusion on the quarantine phytosanitary condition of the products.

The branch had examined 123,000 tonnes of exported wheat as on January 13, 2025. Ports in the Leningrad Region have also shipped grain to Vietnam and Nigeria.
