KazMunayGas to start seismic exploration in new areas of western Kazakhstan, Ulytau regions in 2025
ASTANA. Jan 14 (Interfax) - Kazakh oil company KazMunayGas (KMG) plans to start seismic exploration in the Aktobe, Atyrau and Ulytau regions in 2025, the company's press service said on Tuesday.
The new seismic exploration program for geological exploration of the subsurface will target the Bereke, Shygys and Shu-Sarysu projects.
It is planned that the program of geological exploration of the subsoil in these areas will be financed by the return of investments from projects of the GIN 1.0 program (exploration in the Mugodzhar, Berezovsky, Bolashak, Zharkyn and Northern Ozen areas in the Aktobe, West Kazakhstan and Mangistau regions), KMG said.
KazMunayGas is Kazakhstan's national operator for exploration, production, processing and transportation of hydrocarbons and represents the state's interests in the oil and gas industry.
