Lukashenko says plans to resume dialogue with West
MINSK. Jan 14 (Interfax) - The course towards enhancing the strategic partnership with Russia and China will continue, while the Belarusian administration also seeks to resume dialogue with the West, the election program of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, published by the Respublika newspaper on Tuesday, said.
"We will focus our efforts on resuming dialogue with the West and normalizing relations with the neighbors, which were interrupted not through our fault and not on our initiative. This cooperation is mutually advantageous," the program said.
It is planned to broaden Belarus' presence in Asia, Africa and Latin America and to "unlock new opportunities as a member of BRICS and the SCO," it said.
