Ukraine reduces petroleum product imports by 1.1% in 2024

MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - Ukraine imported 7,562,556 tonnes of petroleum products (Customs Commodity Code 2710: gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, jet fuel and so on) in 2024, down 1.1% from 2023 (7,646,537 tonnes).

The cost of petroleum product imports totaled $6,820.605 million, or 12.9% less than in 2023 ($7,831.477 million), Ukrainian media said, citing the State Customs Service.

Ukraine imported $1,393.372 million worth of fuel from Greece (20.43% of the total amount), $917.31 million from Poland (13.45%), $681.88 million from Lithuania (10%), and $3,828.042 million from other countries (56.12%).

As reported, Ukraine imported 7,300,073 tonnes of petroleum products in 2022, or 17% less than in 2021 (8,790,515 tonnes). The cost of petroleum products imported in 2022 stood at $8,787.171 million, or 56.5% more than in 2021 ($5,614,787).
