Actions aimed at posing risks to energy security unacceptable - Russian, Turkish FMs
MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the situation around Ukraine and Syria in a phone call and focused on the need to prevent actions aimed at creating risks for energy security, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on its website on Sunday.
"The foreign ministers exchanged views on international and regional issues, in particular, in light of the situation around Ukraine, in a follow-up to the regular confidential dialogue. They focused on the need to prevent actions aimed at posing risks to energy security," the statement said.
"Lavrov and Fidan also discussed further steps to support a Syrian settlement by organizing an inclusive nationwide dialogue with the participation of all political and ethno-confessional forces in Syria and all the 'external actors' capable of facilitating efforts to seek appropriate agreements," it said.
