U.S. bans its companies from providing petroleum services in Russia, puts 30 relevant Russian organizations on SDN List
MOSCOW. Jan 10 (Interfax) - The United States has approved a prohibition for its companies on providing oil production services on Russian territory and placed 30 Russian companies from this segment on the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List, the U.S. Department of the Treasury said on Friday.
The restrictions on the Russian operations of U.S. companies are effective from February 27.
The ban targets export or re-export of oil production services, including their sale indirectly, from the United States to any person in Russia.
