OSCE chairperson-in-office to visit Chisinau, Tiraspol

CHISINAU. Jan 9 (Interfax) - OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen will pay an official visit to Moldova on Thursday.

Valtonen will meet with Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian, and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry's press service told Interfax.

"The main items on the agenda include the OSCE's role in strengthening Moldova's resilience and stability, the resolution of the Transdniestrian conflict, regional security, and the nation's European course. Intensification of the Moldovan-Finnish bilateral dialogue is also on the agenda," the press service said.

Valtonen will also visit Tiraspol to meet with the Transdniestrian leaders.
