Gazprom extends license for Kirinskoye field until 2043

MOSCOW. Dec 27 (Interfax) - PJSC Gazprom has extended the license for the Kirinskoye field on the shelf of the Sea of Okhotsk from 2028 to 2043, the Russian federal geological fund, Rosgeolfond, sad.

Gazprom obtained the license in 2008. The geological gas reserves at the field total 163 billion cubic meters and 28 million tonnes of condensate. The design production level is 5.5 bcm of gas per year. The field is being developed using an underwater production complex. This technology is being used in Russia for the first time.

Production began at the field in 2013. Cumulative production at Kirinskoye reached 10 bcm in December 2024.

Gas produced at the field is supplied to consumers in the Nogliki District of the Sakhalin Region, and enters the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas transportation system to supply energy resources to residents and industrial enterprises in the Russian Far East.

The Kirinskoye field is one of the key elements of the Sakhalin gas production center as part of the Eastern Gas Program of PJSC Gazprom.
