KazMunayGas, MOL and Sinopec JV produces 290 mcm of gas at Rozhkovskoye field in 11M
ALMATY. Dec 26 (Interfax) - The Rozhkovskoye field in West Kazakhstan that went on stream in 2024 produced 215,000 tonnes of condensate and 290 million cubic meters of gas in January-November, Kazakh national oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG) said.
The field is operated by Ural Oil and Gas LLP (UOG), a joint venture between KMG with 50%, Hungary's MOL Caspian Oil and Gas Plc with 27.5% and First International Oil Corporation, a subsidiary of China's Sinopec, with 22.5%.
The KMG press service said UOG chief Aman Imandosov held a meeting devoted to the current activities of the company on December 26.
"This year UOG commissioned the first phase of the Rozhkovskoye field development project. Since the beginning of this year, the volume of condensate production amounted to 215,000 tonnes and the volume of gas production to about 290 mcm," KMG said.
The commissioning of all wells will allow to achieve daily production of 1.5 mcm of gas, or more than 500 mcm per year, the company said. More than 6,000 tonnes of LPG will be produced monthly from the gas, which will be supplied to meet the needs of the West Kazakhstan and the Atyrau region.
Rozhkovskoye's recoverable gas reserves are 26.9 billion cubic meters. Annual gas production should peak at 1 bcm and condensate production at more than 500,000 tonnes. Annual production of liquefied gas for the domestic market will exceed 150,000 tonnes.
MOL Group expressed interest in purchasing gas condensate from the Rozhkovskoye field in February 2024.
