Kazakh National Bank approves 5-year digital financial market regulation strategy

ALMATY. Dec 26 (Interfax) - The National Bank of Kazakhstan has adopted a digital transformation strategy for financial market regulators for 2025-2029, the bank said.

The strategy was approved while taking into account the development of digital assets, technologies, ESG risks and the evolving financial sector's structure. It aims to create equal-access digital infrastructure for market participants. It also aims to introduce data-centric approaches to enhance oversight resilience and efficiency, develop technological platforms and modern ICT infrastructure, and reduce regulatory burdens through standardized data processing.

The strategy outlines over 100 projects focusing on the development of infrastructure (including data management infrastructure), the creation of an advanced technology base and a unified IT service center, and the introduction of flexible management methods.
