Russian pipeline and liquefied gas supplies to Europe up 18%-20% in 2024 - Dep PM Novak

MOSCOW. Dec 25 (Interfax) - Russia's combined pipeline and liquefied gas exports to Europe rose 18%-20% year-on-year in January-November 2024 to just over 50 billion cubic meters, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told the Rossiya -24 TV channel.

"Despite all the declarations and the sanctions pressure, gas is in demand because it is a very environmentally friendly product. Russian gas is more advantageous both in terms of logistics and price," he said.

Russia supplies gas to Europe via the Ukrainian corridor and the Black Sea TurkStream pipeline. Russia's bulk LNG producers are Sakhalin Energy, owned by Gazprom , Mitsui and Mitsubishi; Yamal LNG, owned by Novatek , TotalEnergies and China's CNPC and SRF; and Cryogas-Vysotsk and Gazprom LNG Portovaya on the Baltic coast.
