Suspension of Druzhba oil pipeline's operations last week won't affect oil supplies from Kazakhstan to Germany - KazTransOil

ASTANA. Dec 24 (Interfax) - The brief suspension of the Druzhba oil pipeline's operations last week will not affect supplies of Kazakh oil to Germany, JSC KazTransOil told Interfax.

"Transportation of Kazakh oil for subsequent supply to Germany in December will take place according to the schedule approved by the Kazakh Energy Ministry," the company said.

The Belneftekhim concern said on December 20 that oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline had been suspended due to technical issues. Belarusian oil refineries receive oil from Russia via the pipeline, with crude further transported along it to Europe.

Transneft did not comment on the halt in pumping.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on December 23 that Hungary was once again receiving oil via the Druzhba pipeline.

The Kazakh Energy Ministry said at the start of December that supplies of Kazakh oil via the pipeline were expected from December 20 to 30.
