New checkpoint opens at Ukrainian-Polish border
MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - Over 4,000 people crossed the new Nizhankovichi-Malhowice checkpoint at the Ukrainian-Polish border on December 21-22, the press service for the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service said.
"A new checkpoint opened at the Ukrainian-Polish border on December 21. More than 4,000 people, almost 1,000 vehicles, and 27 buses crossed the border through it on Saturday and Sunday," Ukrainian media said, citing the service's statement on a social network.
The checkpoint operates under the joint control procedure, servicing passenger cars, buses and trucks up to 3.5 tonnes. Buses are using the eCherga (eQueue) system, the media said.
