Thirty-two percent of Russians expect economic situation in country to improve in 2025 - poll
MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - About one third (32%) of Russians believe they can reasonably expect the country's economy to improve next year, according to the findings of a poll conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation.
The survey results, published on the pollster's website, also show that 37% of Russians expect the economic situation to remain the same in 2025, while 16% of respondents believe that it could worsen.
Fifteen percent of those polled could not answer the question, the pollster said.
When asked about their personal prospects, 51% of respondents said the following year will be more successful for them than 2024, 25% of those polled do not expect any changes, 8% expect their situation to worsen, and 16% could not answer the question.
The Public Opinion Foundation polled 1,500 respondents aged 18 and older in 104 communities in 53 regions of Russia on December 6-8, 2024.
