Roscosmos signs contracts with India, China, Iran - CEO Borisov
MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - Roscosmos has signed contracts with India, China, Iran and Algeria and is negotiating with South Africa, the Russian state space corporation's CEO Yury Borisov said.
"As regards our efforts to tap into new markets, we have been working very actively with counterparts from BRICS over the past two years, especially in the last year. There are contracts with India, China, Iran and Algeria, as well as good prospects for cooperation with the Republic of South Africa and a number of African states," Borisov said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 (VGTRK) television channel on Tuesday.
Roscosmos is reducing its planned losses and as expecting the sector to become profitable in the near future, he said.
"The state corporation itself will generate profit as early as this year," Borisov said.
On April 26, 2023, Borisov said China was interested in Russian competencies in building rocket engines.
On April 10, 2023, Roscosmos first deputy head Andrei Yelchaninov told Interfax that Moscow and Delhi were discussing supplies of RD-191 rocket engines to India, expecting to sign a contract shortly.
