Ukraine receives $1.1 bln tranche from IMF - prime minister

MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - Ukraine has received a $1.1-billion disbursement from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"Ukraine has received an IMF tranche totaling $1.1 billion as part of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Arrangement," Ukrainian media quoted him as saying on social media.

The funds have already been transferred to Ukrainian accounts and will be used to fund critical budget expenditures, he said.

Ukraine has already received a total of $9.8 billion from the IMF under the EFF, he said.
