Lukashenko propose to Sobyanin to involve Belarusian enterprises in manufacturing Russian cars

MINSK. Dec 23 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Monday at a meeting with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in Minsk proposed involving Belarusian enterprises in manufacturing Russia's Moskvich cars.

"I am amazed by what you are doing in Moscow. Even what seems unusual for you, especially recently. When I heard that you had started making drones, helping the Russian army, this is a fantastic direction. I really support you in that, having waved your hand at these Western sanctions, you have started manufacturing your own cars, which we once knew well, but at a higher level," the BelTA state news agency quoted Lukashenko as saying.

"I think that there could be a place for Belarus in the projects, especially in terms of auto components and other things. Maybe even more," Lukashenko said.
