WB to provide two-billion-dollar grant to Ukraine - Ukrainian prime minister

MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - The World Bank (WB) will provide over $2 billion to Ukraine, including $1 billion as a non-repayable grant and another $1.05 billion as a loan guaranteed by the governments of Japan and the United Kingdom, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"The World Bank will provide $2 billon through the DPL mechanism," Ukrainian media outlets quoted him as saying on social networks.

The WB Boards of Executive Directors approved providing funds to Ukraine on Thursday, Shmygal said. "The Ukrainian Finance Minister signed relevant agreements with the WB today," he said.
