Ukraine to open 2 more consulates in Poland

MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - The opening of two additional Ukrainian consular missions in Poland's Rzeszow and Poznan is planned, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga said.

"At present, the second largest Ukrainian community is in Poland. It comprises approximately one million people. We will increase our consular presence. The opening of two additional consular offices in Rzeszow and Poznan is planned," Ukrainian media outlets quoted him as saying at the Hour of Questions to the Government at the Verkhovna Rada on Friday.

There are plans of expanding the consular presence in the country which received a large number of Ukrainian citizens, Sibiga said. Among these countries, in particular, are Romania, Slovakia, Germany, and France, he said. "We are planning to open additional consular offices in these countries," he said.
