Russia's Kazanorgsintez combines laboratories into single quality control center

KAZAN. Dec 19 (Interfax) - PJSC Kazanorgsintez , part of SIBUR, has completed merging individual production laboratories into a single quality control center based at the laboratory of the central plant, the petrochemical holding's press service said.

"The laboratory of the central plant has united 28 separate divisions of the enterprise and more than 250 employees, becoming a single quality control center at all stages of production from incoming raw material inspection to finished products," according the press release.

The project has been underway since April 2023, with investments totaling 1.9 billion rubles.

Improving the level of digitalization in the laboratory processes to 70% and modernizing more than 300 units of laboratory equipment has rendered it possible to accelerate product quality control significantly, according to the statement.

Kazanorgsintez is among Russia's largest polyethylene manufacturers, is the country's sole polycarbonate manufacturer, and has been part of the SIBUR petrochemical holding since October 2021.
